Branding & Packaging
Over the last 10 or so years of working in the boutique world, one of the best pieces of advice I’ve learned is how to start making your business stand out in the crowd of other boutiques. Let me share with you my tips and tricks of things you can do to get your business noticed, and remembered.

If you were to send a customer their order, and no branding or gift or business card in it, would they truly remember you and want to order again?
A good size box to use for bows is a 6x6x6 you can get this size almost anywhere.
Items to include in your orders
- Business cards

I have mine designed by Jill Ludy at Jazzy Caps. Then have them printed at VistaPrint. (You can ALWAYS find a coupon code with them).
If you have a customer that orders all the time, I probably wouldnt put a card in her package every time she orders. But ALWAYS put one in a new customer order.
- Stickers

Using cute and creative stickers to stick on the outside of your packages is super cute. Helps the customer recognize your package to them and helps you stand out!
- Small inexpensive Gifts
Lots of small shops like to include cute small gifts in their orders. Its something small and inexpensive that helps the customer remember that order, and appreciate your business. They are usually super grateful and it usually gets them to come back to your store and shop!
–Cute Catcus pens
-Cute Magnets
–Unique Paper Clips
Bulk Mermaid Clips can be found here
Of course you could also include sealed candy, and free bow or item from your shop etc.

- Tissue Paper & Crinkle Cut Paper
Crinkle Cut paper (this is a 10lb package so will last a LONG time)
Tissue Paper (just 1pc per package works)
I personally would always choose colors that match your business design/logo. Putting your items in these cute paper bags help separate items and keep the entire package well organized.

Of course I love the idea of scratch off cards. I offer them to my own customers. Here are a few I personally designed. You can put any offer you want under the scratch off sticker. I suggest offers such as “X %amount off next order”, “free shipping” “free small bow with next order” etc.
These get your customer to want to use the offer and go back to shop.
Presentation is everything
Make it your style
The last thing I’d recommend, is getting your own shop name ribbon! I have some and its amazing! Jill opens orders often to design your logo or shop name onto ribbon. You can wrap your orders in it, or line you clips in it! Link to order here> http://form.jotform.us/form/51767740383159?fbclid=IwAR2O7nLloxUMTElrT-0PrOb8WeoFDrGIN1qadUmEy365mYFla6bCrM4AzFE
I truly enjoy packing my orders with cute stuff I’ve shared. I will say, I don’t ALWAYS do these steps, but my items are more supplies and not a gift like a hair bow, or handmade item you may be offering. Let me know some ideas you may have or already implement to start making your business stand out in the sea of boutique owners out there.
